Rate your neighbors and/or see what your neighbors think about you. http://www.rottenneighbor.com/
We could make a google map like this next year to locate where peoples RV's are at (maybe). Then we could rate who has the best booze, etc.!
I had a patron margarita with the neighbors this year - I would rate them very high! :D

we had a horrible night with our neighbor one time. my cousin and i were out partying all day with some friends, came home to pass out when all of a sudden there is a banging on our door at 12am. open it to find a swat member in full gear telling us we needed to leave the house immediately because our neighbor is locked in his bedroom next door with a loaded gun. i guess he had beaten his wife, her and the 2 kids ran out and called police, and he locked himself up.
i am still completely wasted at this point, but wake everyone up and we head around the block to my mom's house. about an hour later i decide it would be a good idea to try and go home to check on my 2 kittens. i didn't want them getting out and being killed by coyotes(we had already lost a couple cats previously). on the corner was an ambulance waiting just in case, so i head over and just hang out by them trying to figure out what is going on. turns out the swat team turned our house into a mini command center because they could get close to the guys bedroom via our place. so my front door is wide open and i have resigned myself to the fact that my cats got out and are now dead...wasted thinking. so i went back to my moms until we got the all clear. they were there until around 7am, when the guy finally surrendered. we were lucky because my mom was nearby, everyone else near us ended up spending the night at a denny's nearby. got home, found my 2 kittens under my bed, and went to sleep. fortunately these people sold their place and moved shortly after that. i don't want some crazy person off his meds living next to me! they were pretty nasty, though. they had 2 big dogs that they basically let shit and piss all over their home. the guy who bought had to rip everything out, including the floor boards...

One time I was doing yard work and walked from the back yard to the front yard and saw that my street was blocked off and full of cop cars. I tried to see what was going on and a cop told me to get in the back yard. I am thinking - he can't tell me that!!!! Grrrr!
Then he told me to get in the back yard or he would arrest me.
I found out later they caught somebody they were tracking that was hiding in the attic of a neighbors house.
Good thread scarr...we have all had one or two.
I lived in an apartment building that when I first moved in was immaculate and very well kept up. Then they kept changing managers and they just didn't care who moved in. My new neighbor was very nice but I knew something was wrong mentally. I come home one day to seeing cockroaches trying to go from his door to mine. I killed them with spray. This situation started to progressively get worse. I would come home and see them scurry in his apartment window. I went out and purchased traps, put a border of borax around the parameter of my apartment and just kept spraying. I found out that the apartment super REFUSED to go into his apartment because it was so disgusting and filthy. When my neighbors started seeing my traps right out in front of my door they started knocking and talking. I guess my poor two neighbors above us were getting attacked with roaches too. One of them threw away all of his furniture and repainted hearing that roaches don't like fresh paint and that only lasted a couple of months. My neighbor above me was washing the walls with bleach hearing that it would work to keep the roaches away. They kept spraying and spraying but to no avail. Finally I lost it one night. I'm outside spraying his door to keep them from getting to mine and there were hundreds upon hundreds of roaches scurrying in his front window and I just couldn't imagine what was behind that door. My neighbors confronted him and he acted like nothing was wrong or a problem. I had spent the past couple of months sleeping with all of my lights on knowing that they love the dark. I had to move and get out of the roach motel. THANK GOD

Gross! You should have called the health department. They would force the apartment owner to clean it up.

We did call. They ended up closing down the swimming pool which used to be immaculate & swimable all year long but because they were making an effort (spraying every couple of months) that is considered within legal limits and not a violation.

About a year ago our neighbors sold their home and low and behold a family of 20 hispanics moved in. Non of them spoke english at all. For the first two weeks they all hung out in their garage, they have their garage facing East (the sideways set up on homes) and they were the house directly to the East of us, so we can't see into their garage directly.
My daughter came home one day, of course in her short shorts, tank etc and I happened to be out front, I see one of the older neighbors standing out front trying to check out who his new neighbors will be. One is standing with his hands on his hips directly staring at her...he turns to walk to his garage to notify his roomies of what he saw, he used his hands to make the shape of a woman from head to toe, if you know what I mean, they say a few choice words in spanish, this I do know some of, and then about 10 of them came out to stare at her and I walking across the street.
Then about a week later my husband and I are enjoying our jacuzzi, which, if my neighbors are in their upstairs master bath, they can directly see us. So we don't notice them, but we also have our firepit lit up so we get out to enjoy it and Doug is sitting in a chair, I am a bit lit up my self, in my bikini just haveing fun and laughing with Doug. Doug can see that there are two of these guys watching us in the window...of course I don't know this and as timing would have it, I feel the urge to flash my husband (damn MGD's). :D
ARGHHH..Doug quietly lets me know that they saw me...so I look up, hopefully inconspiciously, and they are gone. Hmmm...I scared them away with that?
Noooo way....they went and got the possie to see if I would show them some more apparently, cuz the next time I look up there are about 10 beedie eyes watching me.:o
So...now it is very uncomfortable when I see them all out front. I even had to try to talk to one (he had to go get the english speaking one) to tell them that their pool pump keeps beeping and it is loud and irritation, let alone it is a signal of it not working right.
I soooo miss my old home and pool...much more private!
Note to self: Next home - make sure your pool area is very, very private!

my neighbors bbq almost every night. and drink lots of beer. and hang out outside all the time. it gets old but what ya gonna do? mostly I hate the gross gang graffiti but that comes with living in the ghetto I suppose. I am surprised more people don't know you can call 311 for free graffiti removal. I would like to put signs up around my neighborhood saying so but I don't want the taggers to shoot me or mess with my car.

Its not the ghetto that only gets the graffiti. I get tons of it in my 3 year old new Eastvale development. Thought I moved somewhere where that would not happen, after paying what we paid around here for homes, but it is here too! We have a hotline to call and that helps, infact three kids got arrested for tagging the brand new theaters..two where local high school students at our brand new high school. A good samaritan saw thema and called 911.

The tagging has gotten WAY out of hand lately. Buildings, buses, trucks (real bad), fences, houses. Southern California is looking like one big trash gang. It's the one thing I noticed when I was down south for vacation, everything just looked so clean and nice compared to us. My aunt freaked out when she saw a homeless person asleep in a doorway. Of course I don't even blink twice at that anymore.
