Less than 5 miles from me....We are getting used to them now...We have had several that we have felt in the last month and a half... Just a loud boom and a small shake.. No biggie...

Everyone should make sure they keep fresh batteries and water along with canned food with pop tops in stock.Most wait until it is to late...:D

Always a big joke in my family that I have a stocked house and if the big one ever hits go to Horse's house, She has enough for 5 months....

We have great clear glass plastic for around the pool hope those will work.

Bubble wrapping all of the important bottles is a very good idea! I bungy corded the handles on my cupboards to prevent the bottles from falling out.
I remember dancing with my wall unit during the Whittier narrows quake. :o
And I always enjoy watching the water jump out of swimming pools! :D

Well the booze is in a bottom cabinet. :)

I have a portable generator power strip right next to it for all those accesories like the tabletop ice maker, blender (for margaritas) and popcorn machine. :cool:

And cup wise Red is my favorite color, so I do need to get some of those. :eek:

I was in the shower and all of a sudden it started shaking. You realize, o.k. we are having an earthquake. At the time I lived an apartment where the bathroom door was always sticking and all I could think of was to get out and get out NOW. I swung that door open and ran into the hallway and low and behold, there stands my best friends 15 year old son. Needless to say he couldn't look me in the eyes (embarrassment) for at least a year.
