Anybody going to see Chris Isaak at the Hollywood bowl on July 11?. It's the last facility that you can bring all your own food and drinks into so you don't have to tailgate. We can party/meet together "IN" the venue. I will be in Section E Row 13 seat 19.

Is he Country???? lol...jk

Not my type of music...not to say he is bad or good, just don't see myself sitting thru that...but...maybe I am missing something! Sheesh and I thought I was worldly.:D Guess I better re-evaluate!! ahahah

I hear from so many that he is good though! I have a hard enough time getting to the music I like first.

since we live in newport we will be seeing him at the pacific amphitheatre at the oc fairgrounds. so nice that they are doing concerts there again, it's actually where i saw my first concert ever...it was the beach boys back in like '92 or so. def. beats making that drive up to (hel)L. A.

Cooter I'm with you. I hate driving around so that's why I love going to the Bowl. They encourage you to take a bus which I'm lucky enough to be about 5 minutes away from the Chatsworth station when I'm at work. It's only 5 bucks round trip and the last couple of times it's been free because people purchase bus tickets in advance and they don't show. The buses run every 1/2 hour and actually drop you off at the front door of the bowl for less walking. At the end of the concert you have to hike a little bit back to the buses but it's NOTHING like Stagecoach. The minute it's full they take off and I love the fact that they do the driving. I get to bring my own food and drink into the venue which saves me a TON of money.

I soooo miss the PA!! I hated they stopped for a while..i think too much complaining by the houses too close...too loud?

I remember Clint Black there! But I saw Chris Ledeoux inside the fair. That was awesome!

My ticket was only 53.10 out the door. I know you can go for a dollar on the bleachers plus the 5.00 bus ride. (such a deal) You can bring all your own food and booze. See you there?

The Bowl is the very "last" best venues around (as far as pricing goes) overall. If you can't make it to this one (and I hope you do) I DEFINATELY recommend Jamie Cullum on August 20th or George Benson on August 27th. Jamie is a new kid that I'm now currently stalking and George I've seen like 10+ times in concert.

i have been very good and kept the whole show at the pacific amph. a secret from my wife...can't wait until we get there and she figures it out!

only other time i was able to keep a secret about a show was when we went and saw justin timberlake at staples(seriously one of the best "shows" i've ever witnessed out of the 400 plus concerts i have seen), even planned an alternate route so she wouldn't see the marquee from the freeway...of course, there ended up being one i forgot about, but she had no idea until we were getting off the freeway. she was very happy that night :)

yup, 4 or 5 times, probably...

my wife saw him years ago, before we met, and he had her come up on stage with him for a song...

Chris Isaak was unbelievable last night at the Bowl. I loved his costume and it reminded me of Elvis/Porter Wagnor of course each one having their own style. Let's just say he blinged it out. His voice is just like his CD so no studio tweaking. I have been to the Bowl many many times and this was the first time an artist got off stage and come into the audience. I was lucky enough to be on the side that he decided to explore and I was about 10 feet away from him. If you have not had the opportunity to see Chris perform live than GO! I will be seeing him again and that's for sure.
