Anybody going to see Dolly Parton at the Greek on August 3rd? Tailgate party with me? I will be in Section A Row A seat 13.

I have no clue who will be opening and I'm so excited. She is a true legend and how many more times will we get a chance to see her. Stagecoach 09 maybe???

I agree! That is one artist that I have not seen. I make it a point to see artists that I know wont be around too much longer...or whom are legend..."in my mind"...lol Looking forward to you sharing!!

I was lucky enough to see Mel Torme, Ray Charles, James Brown & Bo Diddley right before they passed away. Of course different concerts and venues. Hopefully I'm not a jinx!!!!

OMG Dolly. What a show and I mean show. Between her two beautiful outfits that were just so rhinestoned out and her ability to play all these instruments: Guitar, electric guitar, piano, banjo, harmonica, picalo, mandolin, harpsacord, tambourine. She sang her new songs, old songs and songs she wrote for other people. Inbetween she really talked with the audience and made us feel like we are getting to know the real Dolly among all the fake nails and hair. She commanded the stage for 3 hours.
P.S. I know where all the brokeback, cowboy buckle wearing eye candy hang out at. :p :D
I will later tonight post the few pictures I took because ONCE AGAIN no cameras but that sock trick worked again.

Tired of the no camera rule now at the Greek. The closer you sit the more security they have and the more they ask you to stop. grrrrr Trust me, my pics always suck and are just for personal use.

She is worth the price of admission.
At one point she joked about needing the money and when the audience laughed she said "no, she is serious" it takes a lot of money to look this trashy. She had some very funny stories.
