Gen Adm purchase/availability

For 2-Day general admission tickets will there be a limit as to how many are sold or can I purchase these anytime for the same price up to the day of the show ? (ie: Is there a potential of a sell out of gen admin tickets ?)
Can gen admin tickets be purchased any other way than through ticketmaster ?
