Ok...festival and I and with the gracious help of Thom want to entertain a BBQ at my home.
There were soooo many that came to our Breakfast Burrito Brunch and it was soooo awesome.
I need some emails for confirms...please pm or email me @
quadmom36@sbcglobal.net so I can get your email and give you info. What a great way to meet your fellow posters and get ready to plan for next years SC!!
GSF, Clayshooter, the mommie, Abra, Honkytonk, kuntrygal, Raquellita, angiemarie (have yours), Rose, brocolli, cooter, gocountrygal, exc064 cant make it, Ivan, hillbilly rockstar, hodgee, karenandrobbie, kbug, maddy, prncssjess, scarr, lovinH2H, heavenlymoon, socalcountrygrl, tgcali (where are you), zoo, willicash (hey play for us)ok i tried..and I would probably get fined for being too loud!....countrygurl!!
I know I missed so many..this is what I can remember off the top of my head.
I sooooo want IHML and Kittie to be here, but I know their luau will be awesome and for anyone of you who attend her party, they are great people and partiers! Next year!!
Just FYI I live off the 15 between the 91 and the 60, right next to Norco...so plan it !!
I have floor room to sleep!!
But we really really need a head count for sure cuz the planning on the meat is very important. It will be a pot luck and BYOB. Thom is sooo helping and I know we need to know how many can make it. If you have someone you want to bring...let me knowl...k?
Remember this will also be a pool table/swimming pool party!! No holds barred!!

Yeah its a day game but I will be with some friends who can only make the Sat game! I am so bummed to be missing out on the fun!!!

that sux honkytonk! Sorry I have not been on lately! I went to Plaster City to go riding; Yesterday at 4:00 and got home "Just now". The hottest it got was 111 F'!!

Thanks for the invite but we are off to a horse shoe tournament that weekend.. it is a rematch from our camping group that started on Memorial Day. If anything changes I will let you all know. Thanks again for setting this up. We are sorry to miss out on the festivities!

hey everyone...As you know Kymery and I have talked about having a BBQ, a get together or a "meet and greet" this summer. Thom offered to do the cooking. Thank you to everyone that has responded, that has helped us make the decision to POSTPONE, not cancel the party. We realized that the day we picked is right in the middle of summer plans, travel and activities. Our goal was to meet as many forum people that we can...in preparation of Stagecoach 2009. So how fun is a party when we can't include everyone.??? so here's our idea...perhaps in the fall, or when SC 2009 has been announced....or in the spring when we're planning our attack on Indio, we plan a party....BBQ, dinner, or whatever...I think if we post it in advance we'll get a good idea of what works for the majority. In the meantime...let's keep planning the pre concert get togethers, the pm's and emails going, and stay connected on the fourm, and Kymery and I will continue to keep the party planning in motion...
Any ideas or suggestions? send them to Kymery!! ha ha , ok or me. Thanks to all of you that responded already. We hope our change of dates won't inconvenience your plans.

Nancy, thank you sooo much for informing everyone..as you know I have been extremely busy and appreciate your help, as usual!
Gosh, we are so sorry for those of you who did plan, but fear not!! We WILL have one for sure!
Thom is wonderful in working with us also, and we want this event to be worthy for him and of him also.
If anyone has good ideas on dates etc..we can throw them out there to see what everyone thinks, but Nancy is so good at this stuff and makes perfect sense to get closer to SC09 and to get more board members involved, as so many of us are very busy with family, friends etc and the fact we all dont live so close, does make it a bit harder.
Thank you everyone who confirmed!! We love you! For those of you who the date was hard on, hang in there.

Yeppers!! did the baby backs..thats what I have..so next time I will do the ones you suggest..had to empty my freezer!
I did our Brown's and Rainbow Trouts last night...dang..the family LOVED EM!! whoo hooo for mom!! Chef of the year! hard to make 5 kids...ok...6 kids (the hubby) happy with food!:D

You've been to Ralph's. =) I bought Coors Lite, Bud Lite and 2 Miller Lites. I sure hope I've covered enough people's tastes for the luau. =)

YES, KID FRIENDLY when we do have it. They will really enjoy the pool. I had a BBQ yesterday for my daughter and son and my hubby's family came too with small children. They LOVED my reef entry, it is about 8'x4' and about 18" deep, they will hang out on that all day and play in the water. Plus I have a foosball table, pool table (for the older ones) and video games etc...remember I am bringing up 5 kids in this home..so plenty to do.:D
Hopefully we can get a date set sometime soon. I will keep you posted.

YAY. The magic bullet still in its box, had it about 8 months. Just keep using my good ole blender, but the BBQ would be a great reason to finally take it out. :D

I call my magic bullet "the pulverizer" It's nothing like the commercial. I can't make anything come out chunky. Guacamole is like the smoothest I've ever seen. Tried to use it to help chop up my crab salad but it came out like a paste. GREAT BLENDER for smoothies. It's probably operator error. :rolleyes:

I call my magic bullet "the pulverizer" It's nothing like the commercial. I can't make anything come out chunky. Guacamole is like the smoothest I've ever seen. Tried to use it to help chop up my crab salad but it came out like a paste. GREAT BLENDER for smoothies. It's probably operator error. :rolleyes:

Back when Doug used to actually make me salsa and guac we had this little chopper thingy u put this thing that held the blades in then the ingredients an the lid had a crank. It worked great. Man now I gotta find it. I want fresh salsa. Oh Doug!

I have a couple of those, one for the rig and one for the house, and always forget to use them...again, the good ole fashioned way is best for me.
