I saw on Brooks & Dunn's web sight that they are planning on being at the Glen Helen Pavillion on August 3rd.
I can't go because it's the same day that Dolly Pardon is going to be at the Greek.
I so love their latest CD cowboy town.

I looked for them on TM, but on Aug 2nd they are in Arizona, not far, so the 3rd would be a Sunday night..tough one, but still good, but cant find where the tickets are sold at.

I went the last concert they had at Glen Helen..with Gretchen and Montgomery Gentry. It was a great line up. B and D put on a great show. Even with all the hassles with parking and logistics at Glen Helen, they seem to bring in good shows. I may look for those tickets..

Glen Helen is just too far away for me to go. I would need a hotel room and I would have to take off of work on Monday. I have to save my "vacation" time for vacations and Stagecoach.
It sure does seem like the venue books a lot of Country artists. They need to move the facility closer to me!

I'm with you festival. I work 12 miles from home and it takes me an hour to get there.
I would love to see Brooks & Dunn....they were awesome at Stagecoach '07. But I can't get out that far on a "school night." Boo!!

I LOVE the Universal Amp. It's a closed in venue now and has been so for a long time. There are two fantastic restaurants up there that has the best ahi tuna.
I will be at the Greek to see Dwight! Yippeeeee.

Remember when you got into Glen Helen, don't park up front (nearest the stadium)! You need to park furthest from the stadium (closest to the street where you come in) if you want to get out in under 3 hours.
Else, be prepared to stay most of the night. There is only one lane out and it's like pushing a tennis ball through a garden hose.

Yeah, we will have the 5th wheel, so we will be parked towards the back, end..but where ever we park we seem to get out pretty quick.

hi....we just heard about B and D this week....not sure if tickets have gone on sale yet for their show at Glen Helen. but it's on their website as upcoming concert. Seems like there are several of us interested in that show, so we're waiting for news. I'm wondering if they'll be doing a show in the LA-OC area after Glen Helen...

June 27, 2008 — A year ago, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that Brooks & Dunn would be receiving a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Finally, according to the duo’s website, the ceremony is set for Aug. 4, a day after they appear in nearby San Bernardino.
Fans are sometimes shocked when country acts wrangle a spot in that famous stretch of concrete, but Brooks & Dunn are particularly appropriate for a Southern California landmark, since their music contains so many pop and rock influences. The Eagles, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones have all been referenced in one way or another in B&D’s music.
"From day one, we’ve been able to get away with a lot of that," Ronnie Dunn told the Associated Press. "We get more resistance from radio with classic country than we do with the classic rock-influenced stuff."
Interestingly, Ronnie and Kix Brooks are landing on the Walk of Fame before all four of those classic-rock acts: the Eagles, Stones, ZZ and Clapton.
But they’re hardly the first country performers inducted. Among the country acts who’ve had their names embedded on that thoroughfare are Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Dwight Yoakam, Hank Williams, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, Loretta Lynn and Alabama.

i'll be there! check this out!!!.... my husband works with a guy that knows one of Ronnie Dunn's best friends. the guy is flying out here for the show, taking us in a limo, and we're going with all access. how cool is that??? last year he hooked me up with all access for the country bash (gofest, whatever). we got to wander in the back, hang on the catwalks, met (and got a picture) with keith anderson, and ronnie was nice enough to bring us on his bus for a few! got lots of pics and and an autograph. a hilight experience to say the least!!!
i'm dying to see you guys. i feel like the last one to join the tailgate party.... let me know where everyone is going to be so i can find you!

I want to be there at 4-5, they said the gates were not open for toby but hell yes they were and about 50 cars already parked and partying!!

Just FYI there is a member, raising rednecks, who is trying to get on here, having issues...but he and his wife may also be going to B&D, and bringing some yummy food if I bring the BBQ or anyone else has one he can use if i dont bring mine...

so we were at toby 2 1/2 weeks ago, dwight on sunday night and will be at brooks & dunn this sunday. damn...i need a vacation!! when's stagecoach?!?!? toby was great...way better since he's not "hitched" anymore. he was better once than he ever was. montgomery gentry...hell yeah!! trailor choir is definately off the hillbilly hook!! dwight was unbelievable...he'll play till he "closes down the honkey tonks". chris cagle put on an awesome show. maybe celebrating charges dropped, so he didn't have to ask "what kinda gone?" emmerson drive...leaves me speechless, but just for a "moment". brooks & dunn i'm sure will be great as usual and we saw zz top at nascar in february and they are still the sh**. my whole gripe with dwight and b & d is the sunday night thing...what were they thinkin???

lol. I actually had surgery the day after the accident. yesterday morning i took more x-rays and he took of my splint/temp. cast i had on and is letting me move my arm back into shape!! slowly of course :) anyway my boss is letting me work but not in the suit. only help the mascots get around and give them shirts to throw out.:rolleyes:

Ok, I was just chatting with Festival about where we will be to meet up...or should I say what I think is a good place...take it or leave it ahahaha
Ok...remember where I parked my rig for Toby? We will be right there, but either in Nancy's SUV or my pewter colored 4x4 Chevy Truck..details on that to follow. We will put out Stagecoach Flags on our trucks so you can find us too.
See the pic below, that is my rig at the end of the isle, the huge white one with the checkered awning out, and with the trees behind it. and to the left of this pic, about 50 yards, would be the ramp that takes you up to the entrance. So we are not IN an isle, but at the end of one, across the driving path, it is a fun spot as you can see everyone from there and see everyone who is going in!!

Hey,,,anyone need just a simple lawn seat ticket for an awesome price?? I bought it thru livenation on their "i feel bad about gas prices so heres a deal bargain for $10.00" which AFTER fees came to $21.00...
Thankfully I have a great friend that goes by "festival" that offered me a seat next to her, cuz her not so good friend (jk) couldn't go...so now my back will love me.!! whoo hoo
But anyhooo...I am willing to part with my loving lawn seat for a bargain!! Hmmmm...let's say $15.00...that will buy me a beer and give me $3 left towards another one!

I got my tickets free today for giving blood! So pumped
Hodgee, I followed your lead and I donated blood today and got my free concert ticket to Brooks and Dunn!! It wasn't an easy task... I had my typical *almost faiting* moment but it was worth it! My blood type is rare so it feels good to help others!
Kymery, I wish I had saw your post about the ticket you have for sale, I would've bought it from you!
I am so excited to finally meet everyone! I'll see you guys there!! :D
You guys are going to rock those red cups. I so wish I was there for the party. So many people I know are going to see B & D including Gary from Cal Country Magazine, DJ Joe & Sharmyn from Big Bear Country Dance Club, Countryboards.com peeps from Go Country 105 and of course all the Stagecoach message board family.

WTF...why did B&D OPEN for ZZ Top?? Sooo many people left, including us after 20 min of ZZ Top. I do give em credit...sounded great for a three man band..but come on...

That's why I didn't go....didn't want to hear B&D as an opener. I'm not a huge ZZ Top fan so it seemed like a waste of a drive for me. Hope you guys had fun though!

well.. I had fun..... I really liked B & D, they played all their old songs, and a few new ones. Rodney was great, too. ZZ Top is just an icon in the music industry with a big following... The line up may have been a blessing for the country fans who wanted to leave early, avoid the traffic and who may have not wanted to hang around for ZZ Top!! No biggie....
Hodgee.. I looked all over for you...wanted to bring you down to the "high rent" district!!!

Those are my sentiments exactly, why are they opening for them? We left 3 songs into ZZ Top, it was better getting on the road early than staying. I had a great time as well. Rodney Atkins and B&D put on great shows wished both were longer though

I'm in Target today at lunch (too hot and muggy to walk) in Chatsworth shopping for my desk supplies of food and of course checking out the music section when this guy stops the sales lady and is looking for Brooks and Dunn CD and he doesn't know what it's called. I chimed in Cowboy Town and I did not see it. He had on a brand new b & d t-shirt and I commented that he must have gone to the concert this past sunday. He said he had a really good time and fell in love with B & D. I told him about a hidden target that's always well stocked with music that's not to far away. Ronnie & Kix owe me one.

Well I have to say that it was a great concert! We were in the pit all night! Never saw my second row seats because we were up dancing! Yes when ZZ Top came on the weed came out hard! I even had a puff! First time in 24 years! It was fun and wouldn't have missed it for the world!

The concert was great. It was a very needed distraction. Unfortunately I missed the tailgate party. Left durring ZZ Tops 2nd song. I only know 2 of their songs Sharp Dressed Man and Leggs (i think thats the name of the song).
I was glad I did run into Kymery, KuntryGal and Nancy (it was real nice meeting you).

I was sort of glad that ZZ Top was the finale... I left right after Brooks & Dunn and hit *NO TRAFFIC* all the way from San Bernardino through South Orange County!!
Thank you to Laura & her family for letting me join them on the lawn! It was great to finally meet everyone.... Kymery, Nancy, Laura, Hodgee and Gary! I can't wait to meet more board members @ the next show!!:D
