Sending the little one off to grandma and grandpa's in Harbor Springs.
Having fun with my horses at the farm....
Having fun with my best friend and husband enjoying are 4 week on kids vacation...

I so hate summer here also.I must say the best part of summer in the desert are as follows...
All tourist are gone.:D
No reservation's needed at my favorite restaurant's.:)
And the # 1 reason to love summer in the desert......:eek:
You can drive down 111 with out someone trying to ram your car from sight seeing and it only takes a few minutes to get anywhere....:cool:

My parents live by the polo grounds too. I work in La Quinta, but from home 90% of the time, only venture out there once or so a month. I love the desert and the heat, but not sure I could handle it every single day.

Hot enough here in Norco/Eastvale area! Pool is up to 74 already! ughh,,its gonna be a sauna soon. NIce and morning overcast today, but it will get to the high 80's today. Thom come over and BBQ at my house!!lol

We have been looking into going to Lake Isabella. Our next fishing type trip will probably be trying a new place to us...Lake Cuyamuca in Julian area. It looks so pretty there.

That is a great idea Thom! Festival and I were working on that for my home, but things kept getting in the way. I would love to host one if we could get a gathering. I have the room to do it. We can also enjoy the pool while you BBQ...ooh ooh I mean WE BBQ! Need some suckers..ooh ooh, i mean good ole friends... to try out what I cook.

a quick story, years ago, I lived in a small apt on Route 66 in Glendora and I did BBQ Beef ribs for Superbowl Sunday for a bunch of friends as my tradition...had them on the BBQ, lots of smoke...well low and behold the cutest fire department of men showed up ...code blue. Someone thought there was a fire and called 911!

DUHHH...so I felt bad and invited them to have some ribs...but they saw nothing funny about pulling them away from their TV at the fire house...sheesh ....NOT MY FAULT! So much for the chance of a life time picking on on a hot fireman:mad:

I have plenty of room to sleep...well, depends on if my kids are home and need their rooms (5 bedrooms) but plenty of floor and my rig so you dont have to drive. I have the entertainment area...pool table...pool, etc etc...we would have a blast!

Financially and time speaking...Pork or beef ribs...cuz pork are on sale at Ralphs right now under $2 per pound, Chicken no problem, what type of cuts, and the Tri-tip, we can usually find that on sale somewhere too.

But how much time does it take to do it in your cooker? You are gonna teach me!!

My summer plans include a very busy July. I'm working two jobs but I will be picking up my daughter on July 2nd. Then we'll head home for a week. She and I are flying to Iowa on July 10th for my family reunion. Each of us fly back home on the 16th. Then my son and his girlfriend will be arriving on the 22nd for a week. We'll be doing Disney, the beach, going to see Wicked. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Nothing better than spending time with your kiddos and family!

Huntington Beach/ Sunset Beach...

Go to the House of Brew have there special steak (rib eye) sandwich and play pool in the private room...
It was a great time this weekend .I highly recommend that great rib eye....
They said I was a pool shark after dropping 4 in a row.;)
Well I did play years ago once or twice.....

This would be a fun place to take them .My twelve year old was also with are group and in a private room it was to fun...
