No darn clue what the heck I'm doing! For dad or my step-dad. Maybe I'll get the step-dad a shirt or hat at the Brad Paisley show Saturday since he'll be there with us...

We've never done huge things for mother's or father's day in my family. Mother's day is a big group of us having brunch together - and I get flowers for my mom, grandma and sister... But for father's day...my dad's not really into flowers - so I was thinking maybe trying to see if he was available for lunch and getting a new country CD or something!??!! Aarrrgghh - I better think of something fast considering it's only a few days away now!

My dad's birthday is Friday and Father's Day is Sunday so I have to be doubly creative...which I'm not. But he's coming into town so at least I will get to see him. That's the most important part to me. He had triple bypass surgery and several other heart surgeries a few months ago--so just being able to spend time with each other is enough for both of us. =)

As we speak I am printing pics of our fishing trips and at WalMart they had these awesome frames for $2! I could not beleive it, they each hold 4 pics and aranged really cool in black wood frames. So the boys are gonna give Doug one and Clay will give his dad one too. Memories in pics are the best gift.

My dad is in Mexico with my Uncle. Maybe the last time my dad gets to spend time with his brother..he's not doing well...but I got word they got the boat going perfect and are out fishing for the huge Tuna etc!

He brings home the best fish! yummmmy!! So I won't be able to see him this year, priorities ya know.

So..DAD BE CAREFULL! BRING HOME A CRAP LOAD OF FISH AND I LOVE YOU.

Here is last years Father's day/70th b-day/daughters grad day/three grandkids b-days my sister held out in Menifee.

Happy Daddies Day to all the fathers out there!!! I hope you get plenty of presents in Glitter or Macaroni or both.

Drink lots of beer and just smile and nod. That tie won't look as bad on you as it does in the box. :D

Here are a few veiws on Fathers day from country artist ....
Hope you all enjoy....:)
Aaron Tippin - Father's Day

Aaron Tippin says if you look up his two sons on his cell phone, under occupation, it says: best friend. Tippin says if he's not working he's hanging out with them. He says on Father's Day when the boys bring him his gifts "they always say, dad here's your present. And I always say no, no, you guys are my present." Tippin says he also lucked out in the dad department. He says his dad "was the smartest, coolest guy I knew. He was an airplane pilot." Tippin's dad died in 2005. The title song on his new CD "He Believed" is a tribute to his father. The CD is on sale at Cracker Barrel stores.

Oh how I love the Cracker Barrel.....

Another great artist......:D

Neal Mccoy - Father's Day

Father's Day isn't a big deal around Neal McCoy's household. He says "we don't do a lot on Mother's Day and Father's Day." He says "It's nothing special." He says usually his wife and kids buy him stuff but that's about it. He says because he's gone so much "just being home is special enough."

Thank you!! I about cried when I saw that,,,he looks like he is on cloud nine. I just bought doug and e-card for Bass Pro shops with a gift card send via email... now I am gonna make some salsa for tomarrow, but I can't find the damn Habaneros I bought yesterday..this always happens, they get losts in the bags somewhere and tossed out. Good thing I have fresh green chilies in my garden to put in instead...come on over and enjoy with me...sit poolside and tip a few back. we can discuss our party.
