WARNING: I went to the Greek this past weekend and my Ticket said PIT, GA3, seat 28. What did I assume was that I had an actual seat. I walked up to one of the security people and asked where my seat was and he told me that this is a special concert and they remove all the seats in the Pit section. On one hand it was pretty cool to get to dance all night long and be in the front row BUT I wish I would have known this fact when I purchased my ticket. I would have worn different shoes (blisters) and not brought in a sweater and purse and have to hike it all back to the car. Thank goodness I wore pants with pockets to carry all my stuff in.

I did e-mail The Greek yesterday to let them know they should have advertised this fact.

I want to keep all my Concert Junkies informed.

ga pretty much always means general admission standing, especially when in the pit section. the seat number is just for accounting purposes.

Thanks for the information Cooter now I know. I guess I was standing fool number 28...actually a dancing one. :D

That was the very first time I've not seen seats at the Greek in the pit section.

You are right.Same thing happened to me at stagecoach when general had a seat and I was thinking where is it...lol
Countrygurl is too funny and right....

Just curious rose.
When you bought or got the ticket did they imply it was a general seating area?
It is always great to be able to learn so much here on the forum...
Thanks to all of you...:)

Horse, I had no idea it was going to be General admission in the pit area. I've been to the Greek many times the past couple of years and that is the first time I have seen no seats.

Harry Connick Jr.
Los Lonely Boys
Lyle Lovette & K.D. Lang
James Brown & Michael McDonald
and I can't remember who all else.

No mention on the web sight, no mention when I purchased the ticket on ticketmaster. When I saw a seat number then I assumed I get seat number 28. Now I know better thanks to Cooter.

You will have a great time. We always do. Did you know you can get a beer there? At Disneyland no way but at California adventure they have beer, margaritas and wine!!

Well actually, if you go to the Cove Bar there, it's a full bar. YUMMY drinks!! Make sure you go on Soarin' Over California--it's my favorite ride there! Have fun!

buy a season pass, just the cheap one. you go two times within a year and it has already more than paid for itself. with the cheapest one you have a ton of blockout dates that you can't go to the parks, but those are days when it is overrun with tourists and crowded and hot as hell, so you don't want to go anyways.

$66 for one day ticket or $129 for the annual pass, the choice is easy. you gotta go to d-land during halloween when they turn the haunted mansion into the nightmare before xmas and then again during the xmas season, so there, you more than break even.
