Someone else posted on another web sight that they didn't like Stagecoach because then the performers don't come back to So Cal for awhile. Have you noticed this?

Exception being our local boy Dwight.

Hmmmm I guess I do not notice, mainly because I saw them at stagecoach, so I don't look for them anymore. But of course now I will be noticeing...thanks!!

It's true.

There are always some exceptions to the rule, but the majority of it is right.

George Strait was at Stagecoach lasy year and did a concert here this year... Alan Jackson too and he will be at OC Fair in July....

They don't usually come around more than once a year anyway.....so I don't think that's neccessarily true.

Crazy....
Maybe they just stay on this side of the West coast for part of the year?

What performers did not comeback that never came to SoCal in the first place? Did they give examples? Cuz I can't think of any....

i'll think of some... it's totally true. i've looked at several schedules and thought "well i guess they considered stagecoach their LA appearance." usually ok for me cuz i was there... but friends who weren't there and want to see that group/artist individually lose out.

The point Rose was making was that in the same year, if an artist goes to Stagecoach, that artist does not do a large show in So. Cal. that same year.

Example:

Kenny Chesney was at Stagecoach 2007. Therefore, he did not do another show in So. Cal. that year (even though he did the year prior and then the year after)

To really figure this out, we need to find the list of artists that were at Stagecoach 2007. I did a quick search but didnt' find a list yet.

I can get my son's 2007 t-shirt out and list em....lol but we might be here all day. It was quite a line up....hmmmmmm. let me find it!

And ok I get the point - and you may have something there - because it does seem that way now that I think of it. Than I'd have to agree it isn't fair but whomever said anything in this life was fair....

Thanks for the lineup.

As you can see, there is some truth, but there are exceptions too!

Exceptions:
- Alan Jackson did Stagecoach and also Go Fest in 2007 (along with Kix and Dunn)--but these three were touring together so it counts as one exception
- Jason Michael Caroll - Stagecoach and Go Fest

Others that did Stagecoach, but not a concert themselves (this is just from my recollection wich could totally be wrong!):
- Sara Evans
- Gary Allan
- Jamie O'Neil
- Eric Church
- Pat Green
- Strait (but he had not been to So. Cal. for a long time so not sure this counts)
- Carylon Dawn Johnson

But, we also have to consider the other hand.

There are a lot of artists that came to Stagecoach that probably wouln't have come to So. Cal. at all.

So, in my opinion, it almost evens out. I guess it just depends on who your favorite artists are and who you wanted to see in concert (maybe you want to see them all because you are addicted to concerts like I am).

I agree about George Strait - he hasn't done a concert in SO Cal in years until SC and than this year ...so how can we count that.....it may be years again before he comes back this way....

Don't have a clue about the others to be honest....

I just received notice that Pat Green will be playing at the House of Blues on Sunset.

I would love to see Pat Green again BUT I don't like the House of Blues.

Ok I see what you mean. But in her original post she said they "do not come back to SoCal for awhile" and I figured that meant more than one year. Most artists don't come to SoCal more than once in a year...but I will agree that they usually have an LA and SD show and when they did Stagecoach, they figure they kill two birds with one stone. And from what I can see most artists - at least the ones that frequent SoCal anyways - came back to SoCal (somewhere) this year...

I wonder if SC09 will be two days or three?

Kymery
06-05-2008, 09:38 AM
I think they will stick to 3 again..although I think it may of been just a bit too much on the ole bod!! That was way toooo much walking.

IF they get more than 5 trams to transport then it will be ok. I know it is a festival and walking is involved, but for those of us that camp...that tram would of been helpful...i mean more than the thomas the train tram that was slower than our stuper walks we had.

Day 1 - I was all over the place.
Day 2 - I saw about 1/2 of what I had planned on seeing.
Day 3 - Barely could walk from the car to the festival. We were limping all the way and so tired.

That's why we missed the group photo.

Next year I have to plan better on the old age factor.
