I have a question for all you whom have won concerts tickets via the radio etc....
Do you get good seats?

I won Keith Urban, worst seats, opposite of stage and top row.
I won Stagecoach, general admin...aswesome no matter what
I won a few others too, usually they are not good seats at all, thats why they are freebies.

I've never tried to win tickets before but I thought if you get good seats then it would be worth trying to save some cash to spend on Stagecoach.

It just depends on your luck.
Radio just gets them and uses them to draw in listeners...radio doesn't really care if they are good seats or not. The only time you know for sure if they are good seats are when you win and then "qualify for the grand prize of front row tickets."

Won Gen Admin for stagecoach last year...was great! lol
WOn tix to see Travis Tritt last year at HOB Sunset strip - Was definately worth that...but standign only no seats in the house.
I would love to win tix no matter how bad the seats are...but not so easy..everyone and the brother is usually trying.

True, sometimes they are front row, signed guitars etc I(although i never win tho's)

Isn't that the truth - If I could win radio tix you'd think I could win the lottery too....and than I would be able to go to all the concerts i want....LOL

Just a fluke I was working on stagecoach for a friend.My comp tickets were already taken by all of us and she wanted to come along...
Got extras after all and everyone was happy .....:cool:

I tried on a daily basis to win - never could get through - my husband did once - he was caller 22 - they wanted 25; my sons friend was caller 16. a week later - that was as close as we ever got b4 I gave up a month prior and just bought my tix thru a private party (with VIP bands) I am not doing that next year .... I am just gonna buy em and if I win some - well than Ill take a few friends...or sell em like others did.
It's crazzeeee trying to win ...but at elast we tried - right?!?!? LOL

Won 1 pair for last year and 2 pairs for this year. Between my sister and I, we've been to many, many concerts courtesy of Go Country oh, and the "previous" station. The trick is...never, ever give up. We tried today for Alan Jackson and she was 14 and 22 and I was 20. Gettin close!!

We were running late for Kenny so we couldn't get food before hand and had to buy dinner inside....don't buy food inside when you are drunk..I think I signed away my first born child for a super-dog and my left arm for some fries....:eek:

I won tickets off K-frog last August for Tim McGraw & Faith Hill @ Honda Center in Anaheim.... the seats were good, just above the floor but the PRE-SHOW PARTY was awesome!! I was a grand prize winner so I got into a (mini concert) before the show!
TODAY I won tickets for Alan Jackson for July 26th @ the OC FAIR!! (YAY):D
I don't know where my seats are located just yet, they are mailing me the tickets! But I'll let y'all know if they are good seats!! (I luv Go-Country)

I know the feeling, I tried for 4 months to win Stagecoach this year and I gave up and bought seats for tons of bucks. a week later I won GA!
Loved my seats...worth the money.

((LOL)) You are too cute! I will let you know about going to the show! I am also a multi-phone user when I try to win radio contests, cell & house line! But I have noticed that I get through when I am on my cell, more so than with a landline!! I tried sooooooo hard to win Stagecoach tickets but I ended up buying my reserved seats from a gal off CRAIGSLIST (for a steal)!!!!! I love CRAIGSLIST!!! :cool:

I found $10 on my out of Neils in Indio one night, and I found $5 at a 7-11...people..when you pull money out to by liquor, be carefull! Ok, maybe not, get all snockered up, and drop your money, i will be right behind you!
Oh, I was rummaging thru my laptop luggage bag this week and found a B-day card for my son (back from march) from my parents, ooops, now he is $35 richer, and then his aunt called last week and said they still had his b-day card, now he is a total of $75 richer! Why is it never for MEEE??

Hi Everyone! So I got the tickets that I won for the Alan Jackson concert in the mail today.... and the seats are pretty GOOD! They are in the 2nd row of the Terrace *Dead Center*!!!!! :D
I am soooooo excited! I can't wait to see Alan Jackson @ the OC fair!

Not all shows are the same.. Some don't have seating on the floor. Some have seating but general admission. Some shows the whole thing is GA.

I was really confused when I went on-line to check out tickets for Gretchen Wilson. From this diagram it shows only 1 balcony and from the looks of the ticket options they have an upper and lower balcony??? The floor for this one was GA. The first time I searched for a seat it gave me a specific one (I should have purchased that one) after that the searches gave me a seat with no seat number or row but did not say GA?
I should have known that you can help me on this one. Should I call ticketmaster instead of using the web sight?

I'm in.
This time, we are going to attempt to buy our seats FIRST this time, and not wait to win em...which i eventually did, but AFTER I spent thousands on seats from e-bay.
Honestly...I do hope that there are not sooo many freebie tickets given away for 09. It just seemed that EVERYONE had free tickets and really not there for the concert in general.
I went on line this morning and a seat popped up for Gretchen Wilson so I nabbed it. Lower Balcony, Section A, seat 221. Hopefully it's a good seat? and I look forward to checking out this new venue.
