Ivan, those are some great pics! Very clear!! Dang, brings back the fun I had that day! Hey notice the guy in the white straw hat in the crowd, to the left of the pic, his hat is on backwards!! ahahaha...there was a guy at the main stage, with his hat on backwards, kept taking it off to cheer on the band and he never noticed...too funny.
BUT THANK YOU..I loved Mike Ness and those are great pics.

Wasn't that just a fun show? I wanted to get out on a dance floor and do my old swing dancing, throw me in the air, fly me over my head, thru the legs etc...I sure miss those days. I loved the Rocka-billy days for sure!

i thought some of you might like this. This is from the Mike Ness thread (http://coachella.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16958) on the Coachella Board. The guy who posted these got them from mikeness.com:
Goddamn I wish I could have been at this:
Social Distortion's Mike Ness is joined on stage by Bruce Springsteen at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, on May 17. On a break from touring with the E-Street Band, Springsteen hopped on stage to play with Ness and his band during an encore. They performed four songs together, including a cover of "I Fought The Law."

I've played drums for as long as I can remember.I started playing in bands in the 5th grade. That's pretty much all I did til my early twenties. Then that pay to play crap came out in hollywood and most of the bigger clubs. I refused to pay a club $1500 to play so they can sell $8 drinks to the people we bring in. Since then I dropped out and just play on my own or jam with friends once in a while.
That's awesome!! I'm an aspiring drum student... Just started learning about a year or so ago at the ripe old age of 36! I've always loved them and finally decided "what the heck" - and signed up for lessons. Would love any advice you have to offer. = ) Wish I could see you play. Playing since 5th grade... bet yer gooooooood. ; )

Were you into the Alley cats? The bass player from one of my bands was a huge fan of theirs. Whenever I quit their drummer filled the void. The bass player also had a few rockabilly bands but I don't know which ones. His name was Danny Phillips but he changed his last name when he went rockabilly.

Whooo hooo...a good b-day present for me! I will have to put that on my calendar!
I remember back in 1982ish...I went to Hawaii with the KROQ crew. We got to see the GoGo's. We had a limo for the night, me, my friend Kimie and two guys. We were dressed completely Rocka-Billy, dresses, hair the works. We were leaving in the limo from parking in the back stage area and people thought we were Belinda and Gina from the GoGo's, they were throwing t-shirts into the car for us to sign, we then went over to The Wave bar...and they were there as well as Bill Bateman from the Blasters (and I beleive he was dating Belinda at the time) and he introduced me to Gina and her...I think it was Gina who said..."oh, so your are them, the ones that think you are us"..oh boy she was a bit mad i guess...hey not my fault! It was so funny, cuz people would come up to Kimie and I and ask if we were them and I had to keep pointing them out so they would go meet the right girls! I guess since we were dressed up, they must of thought we would be in a band???
It was the funnest times!!! I miss riding in the old cars, swing dancing, night after night, hanging with they boys, I would of loved the 50's!
Ok Abra...you are my new partner!

Like a dumb ass I gave my younger brother all my records years ago and now they're all missing. I did find an old X record (Under the Big Black Sun) this weekend while cleaning out the garage. Social D is like your favorite cheeseburger; nothing exotic but always good.

Not much of a fan of Rollins even whe he was with Black Flag;Dez Cadena was better. X played Street Scene this year and tore it up for a bunch of old punks.

Looooved him in Social D and love him now! I missed him last year sadly : (
However, at a close friends funeral, he sat right behind us with this girl who you could tell was a pinup girl. Silly me didn't recognize him until I got home later that night and sat down and thought about it... crazy!
