i just sailed up from san diego to long beach yesterday on my father's catamaran, nice...until we hit huntington and the wind finally picked up, that last hour was rough...and i am sore like i worked out for hours.

Well I haven't been on the boards now for a while... But this week-end and next week-end must have honorable mentions.... This week-end is my birthday week-end and My younger sister (not HP) is having a Naughty Ladies party at my house on Saturday. I thought that my friends were too proper to go.. But to my surprise, they want to come to the party and celebrate my birthday too. Then, next week-end we are heading to Vegas for a girls only trip... and seeing Phantom at the Venetian. Going VIP at Ghost Bar at the Palms on Friday the 13th.. And... of all things my husband gives me permission to go to an all male review show... Yeah right, I used to date Chippendale dancers long ago and am way over that scene.. Hope you all have fun the next 2 week-ends too.

Ok, you all are gonna love this. Doug wore his Cowboy hat and I told him it would be lucky if he did and low and behold he was a fishing maniac!

So on the way home my two boys asked me to stop at the western store in Bishop and I bought them two straws (no not the Toby Keith kind) but awesome hats for them to wear fishing next time! gotta love it when the boys are moving to Cowboy hats...whoo hooo

We drove to Reno this weekend, and saw a lot of views like in your pictures. We drove up the 395 and it was beautiful.

Clay, we were right off the 395, if you were coming from reno, you would take the exit just AFTER you see Lake Crowley, called Benton Crossing Road, where the church is and go right and back in about 4 miles.It is the upper owens river, just about the mouth to Crowly.

It was soooo beautiful...took the kids to Toms place, to the fish hatchery, up to Rock Creek etc.. Caught our limit and more every day.

Here is how beautiful it was right from our camp site!! I loved this campground, walk right to the river and fish, that was the hot spot the first day we got there, then everyone was there after that...so fished the other side of the bridge, barbless, lots of browns too.

We probably passed you. I should've waved. Wve camped in Mammoth several times, but not for a couple of years, but after driving through those mountains I've decided to go again next year for our summer vacation. This year we'll be staying on the beach @ Camp Pendleton.

All the boys go for the opener on Crowley the last weekend in April...they arrive thurs night, fish Friday in the streams, then on Sat am gunshot, they can fish crowley...you should see the fish I still have in my freezer...then we go back up with me when it is warmer! haha

Theres even hunting right there too. We take real long drives into the hills, desert and go shooting..right up your alley!

We love it too. My dad's new wife has access so we have been able to enjoy for the last couple years. We leave right here in San Clemente but there is something so special about being able to camp right on the beach!

Camping on the beach is awesome. I used to go to Doheny and then there is always Pismo...as long as you dont get stuck! We were gonna plan one of those this summer, but sheesh, seems we are planned out. But I always say there is time.

We have friends that are originally from Texas. They came out to Doheny 10 years ago for a long weekend... needless to say they never went back. They now live here in San Clemente. Better surfing here than in Texas :D

Well, I just got it ruined AGAIN..said I exceed my photobucket band with WTF does that mean? so I went to my photobucket and deleted tons of old pics. then I found part of my old layout, but left Chris Ledoux for the background!! whoo hoo...I am back to what I liked!

If U can't see yur photobucket pics anymore it probly means U have exceeded a bandwidth allotment. Which means the pics have been viewed too many times and you have to wait another month (or ?) until you can see them.

If U can still see the pics after deleting some and then adding some more, U have hit the storage limit on how many pics U can save up there.

U can save pics at http://imagebay.com with no restrictions and no questions asked.

PhotoBucket probly doesn't have a bandwidth limit but I thought that is what U said the error was? No?

hey y'all... I've had a busy week....after my daughters grad and going away party last week, we happily (tearfully) said goodbye to her at LAX on Monday morning. She's off to Europe for the summer. Airports always make me cry...(either the traffic, or the good byes)..I then went out of town for a few days to recover and enjoy the mountain air in Green Valley Lake. Home now, catching up on the message board. sounds like everyone has been busy with holiday fun. I know Toby is next Sat, as many of you know I'll be in Newport Beach for the week (sat-sat). If any of you will be in the Newport Beach area that week, let me know.. sounds like there's a party in the making. GSF and Kymery, I, too have party pics for you!!! I'll email them tomorrow. Went to a birthday bash in west covina Saturday night.Sunday night at Sullivan's in the desert with friends Jazz and a great dinner out ...Then Monday shopping with Armando's on el paseo for margaritas with my daughter and family ( she came down from Sunset beach)..

I went to Lauglin, met up with Festival and some other friends. Weekend for us kinda sucked...Doug threw out his back the first day there, so didnt go on the lake anymore. We won, then we lost money..oh well...Then on the way home, our brand new effin Dodge Truck with only 1500 miles on it, threw out 2nd gear!! Then...now the downer...my mom decided she wanted to give up on life and take her own. And it wasn't even a full moon ever! Just not my luck or weekend.

But...now I am back, up on the boards, chatting with friends and moving on, waiting for my truck to get fixed!

Thank you again everyone! Hopefully she is happy now?? We are going to let her ashes go in Ocotillo desert at her request. She wants my dad to go "real fast in the dune buggy and let her go in the wind along with my grandmothers ashes also" So that is what we will be doing Thanksgiving weekend as we do a tradition in camping each year there anyway.
