I'd go with Brad Paisley, John Fogerty then Bon Jovi Friday night then Saturday B&D followed by Toby Keith and George Strait Double Headline Saturday night then Trace Adkins, Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney Double Headline Sunday. Headliners all play 1.5-2hours minimum. 1 hour is B.S.

He passed away on February 13, 2002 so I thought it was very much "a wish" artist to be at Stagecoach.

There's two threads on this topic.

Phil Vasser - was mentioned in the other one. That boy can put on a show. Colin Raye - would be good too. He has gone quiet once again.

Sorry, but Brad needs to start writing some real songs and stop writing this crazy crap. People already think country music sounds like; "I lost my car, my wife left me, I ran over the dog. I'm having a bad day." He's giving them more ammunition with some of the stuff he has come up with lately. I like Brad Paisley, but something went wrong somewhere with his lyrics.

Artist
Larry the Cable Guy...

you r so correct about them getting ideas for their routines from this forum...especially this week after such a great weeknd. i think a lot of peeps just weren't recovered enuff to deal with the jokes and innuendos coming forth.
everything here should be taken with a grain of salt. it's a freakin message board peeps...u read what u want to read into whats writeen therefore how can u blame others for what u feel or think may or may not be written in a message?

get on with life...have fun with it all....god i luv this sh*t...it keeps me coming back for more like stopping to look at a train or car wreck...can't help but just gotta look...but u know u shouldn't.

Another great group I'm slapping myself for not adding yesterday is LoCash Cowboys. We saw them for the first time last year at some CMA events in Nashville at the Wildhorse and these guys are AWESOME! They really mix it up a little and make everyone in the crowd have fun ALL AGES. I had the pleasure of seeing them again out here in Vegas. If you don't know who they are check them out!

I would HIGHLY recommend the following artists to Stagecoach administration, because these artists are very hot right now and would increase sales undoubtedly:

-Toby Keith
-Brad Paisley
-Dierks Bentley

The following are newer artists that will be gaining momentum and can accredit Stagecoach as their largest audience to date, or great crowd, etc:

-Lady Antebellum
-James Otto
-Jason Aldean
-Hot Apple Pie
-Keith Anderson
-

Of course, classics/returners/others will always attract huge crowds:

-Brooks & Dunn
-Alan Jackson
-George Strait
-Kenny Chesney
-Dolly Parton
-Billy Ray Cyrus
-Van Zant
-ZZ Top (not country, but very fitting still, and on tour with B&D)
-Emerson Drive
-Lonestar (reunion?)
-Rascal Flatts
-Sammy Kershaw
-David Lee Murphy
-***JIMMY BUFFETT***
-Faith Hill
-Carolyn Dawn Johnson
-Phil Vassar
-Mark Wills
-Travis Tritt
-Craig Morgan
-Joe Nichols
-Josh Gracin
-Josh Turner
-Sheryl Crow?

Jessica Simpson Will Open for Rascal Flatts in 2009
October 2, 2008
Jessica Simpson will be opening shows for Rascal Flatts when the trio continues its Bob That Head tour in 2009. Taylor Swift has been the opening act for this year's tour which ends Nov. 2 in Uncasville, Conn. Approximately 25 concerts are scheduled for the new leg of the tour which launches in mid-January. Well, I had my first trip to the states May this year. I am hoping though that I will be able to come next year too. It was a coincidence that we were in California same time as Stagecoach, but definately coming back.

When I come back, I hope to see:

Hal Ketchum
Toby Keith
Alan Jackson
Brad Paisley
Dwight Yoakam
Tim McGraw
Garth Brooks
Taylor Swift
Carrie Underwood
Gretchen Wilson

And something else that would nice if they could, even though it's not exactly country music is Dire Straits :)

But I recon that's too demanding :)

BTW(OFF TOPIC), if any of you wanna listen to Norwegian Country music you should listen too songs by "Hellbillies", I can mention a few of their songs and see if you can hear what they sound like ;) Find them on Youtube and tell me what they are really called ;) It is famous country music translated to Norwegian..

"Krasafaren Steinbu"
"Rakafisk"

And there is also "Åsmund Åmli band" - "Stomp og vatn" ;) A quiz is on.

I was in that same dilemma. I saw Willie's first song and then went over to where my group was in front of the mane stage, and stayed for Alan. We all agreed he is an excellent performer and could not miss him, lol.

RR, who did you end up choosing?

Sad but due to the age factor we went to see Willie. We figured Alan will be around for a while and you never know when you're gonna lose some of the legends. For the same the reason the wife and I went and saw BB King a while back at the Hollywood bowl. Wow. His sound on that guitar is amazing. There's a reason some of these artists have been around for 30+ years. Even if they aren't your style of music they are able to convert you by the end of a show. .Elton John comes to mind.

Come on Kymerly Mike Ness always plays in so cal. I may be biased since I saw SD so many times for free. He's great. I'm starting to wonder if they have to repeat to keep the same level of artists to keep us coming.

Kymery, San Fran in November is very nice. get some Uggs and a knitted scarf and you'll fit right in to the city and on the college campus. doubt that you'll find a honkytonk bar in the city. but if you can rent a "Go Car" off Hyde and Powell and check out the "Big Mac shiney Red Fire Truck" tour. google them both ...it's a fabulous and FUN way to see the city. Add an extra day and $200 to your trip!!

Luckily I have been there before...but many moons ago, and Rikki knows it very, very well so she is gonna show me around. I'll find some place to tip a few back...I am staying in the heart of town, so many options I am sure.

At least you're not doing Frisco on Halloween weekend. I played a hockey tournament up there on Halloween weekend a few years ago. There were lots of big block parties. You can only guess what the favorite costume was. Needless to say we bought a bunch of beers and stayed in our hotel rooms. Frisco is a fun place to go just not on Halloween.

I was a kings fan years ago, before Lewieke turned em into a minor league team. Once He took ownership they've become the Clippers of the NHL.Once He finishes developing downtown LA maybe he will sell them and they can become competitive again. Right now the ducks have what the kings had with McNall. Good ownership that want to win.I was lucky enough to go to most of the games during the Gretxky era. I still have been since they moved to staples. I was bummed when they folded the Ice Dogs. It was great for taking the kids to games. Plus I had free tix and beer most of the time.

We had a great deal for the Ice Dogs. One of my friends from hockey ran the equipment operations for em. On any non game night we had a closed pick-up at the arena. He also left a pile of old tix on the table in the locker room. They had the no wasted ticket deal where you could turn in any un-used old ticket for that nights game. In return for grabbing any old tix you had to bring an 18 pack to the game. He kept all the beers in his office on ice and a stack of dog bones. Free refills all night. Then we drank any leftovers on the nights we played there. We did it from the time they first played at the LA sports arena until they dropped down the the wchl. Then they wanted to drop his pay so he went to work for the anchorage team

wow.. that's good news! We have Chris Cagle and Darius Rucker so far on Saturday night. I was hesitant about Darius Rucker and his country flip, until I saw an interview with him. Decided to buy his cd and I think it's really good. fun songs.. "Drinkin' and Dialin' Again", and "All I Want" are my two favorites. Thanks for the update snakebite.

Thanks for asking!!! It was BEAUTIFUL and a best run ever for me!! It rained all day Sat and all day Mon but the rain held off Sun morn for the race, the fog cleared from the bridge so you could see it and the most beautiful rainbow was arched over it, it really was breathtaking. I got choked up in fact but had to get a hold of myself, it is really hard to run and CRY LOL!!!!
