I was reading in some other threads about memorable stories, so I thought I would start a thread just for those: Like Horse has to reshare meeting "Jenny Craigs daughter".
Here is my most memorable story:
On Friday we parked in the Artist parking lot and well waiting on someone we saw the bodyguard for the eagles... He was a big possible european (note accent) bald guy (good looking).. He kept looking down the street anticipating the arrival of the Eagles vans.. He never broke a smile, he was so serious...
At one point he screamed at the general security people to stop all traffic, as the Eagles were coming down the street... Everyone cleared... I told my daughter (17) to get ready as the vans would pass right by us.. After about a minute the bodyguard turns around and waves... and says "false alarm".. About 15 minutes later he screams clear the road... The head of this general security team says "are you sure this time?" He yelling back "yes, yes".
So here they come.... 2 vans in the first van the orignial 4 band members...
After both vans pass through the bodyguard begins to follow the vans..
As he passes us my 17 year old daughter yells "Good job Mr. Eagles Bodyguard man." He turned around and finally smiled and waved to her...
Then I turn to her and say..."So who did you see?" She said..."I am not sure what their names are but it was two old guys and the guy with the big nose was sitting in the back on our side."
Then I turn to her and say..."So who did you see?" She said..."I am not sure what their names are but it was two old guys and the guy with the big nose was sitting in the back on our side."
Very cute.

It was.... I guess the really skinny guy (whose name eludes me) went un-noticed. or was in the second van that nobody paid attention to.

I had to leave before Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood, another memorable story that I can not tell
But from the sound of it I didn't miss much re: Tim McGraw.

many moments to keep track of...and can't wait to make more next year!!!! I will share just a few of them though.
* meeting our hilarious Montana neighbors in The Forum - otherwise known as tent city
* on Thursday evening, as my older daughter and I had just settled into our weekend home and were waiting for my youngest daughter to get there, and she called to let me know she had been in a car accident (everyone is OK!)
* going on the scavenger hunt on Satuday night
* seeing the AMAZING Trace Adkins
* bumping into a dad and two lovely teenage daughters that had back stagepasses to meet Mr. Amazing, and they brought me back an autographed hat
What a ride...can't wait to do it again next year!

One of the best moments is when we arrived home last night...
We have two minature pinchers... We always give them treats when they go potty outside.. Their treats are in a huge plastic containter that you buy at halloween time at costco with pretzels in it... Usually when we get home the dogs are always excited to see us... Last night they were extremely quiet.. I thought they got out... Nope they managed to knock this huge container off the kitchen table and drag it into the living room, and finally open it.. They were quiet because they were eating a whole bag of treats... They must have been extremely good while we were gone and thought they deserved them...

here's my memorable story: my girlfriend's 16 year old dog died on saturday while we were out there.
http://www.wrensnestonline.com/blog/wp-content/debbie_downer.jpg
her mom was a total pain in the ass and made the situation worse with her bitchy attitude and acting so put out because it happened at her house. didn't really hit her until we walked in the door last night. needless to say, today hasn't been much better for us, especially her, though.
it really sucks because years ago she just happened to be out of town when her horse died, too.

My favorite moments:
The look on my daughter's face when she exited a port-a-potty for the first time.
Meeting some (not all:( ) of you wonderful forum folks.
My daughter was wiped out after Big & Rich, didn't want to stay for Carrie or Tim, so we go back to the campground and find two drunk girls out in the cold wind wearing bikinis dancing and doing cartwheels down the center aisle screaming to Carrie Underwood that they are her biggest fans.....rather amusing to watch actually. The best part was my daughter's comment: "Way to use a brain cell."
Waking up at 6 am this morning to several folks feeling absolutely NO pain streaking through the campground. Talk about an eye opener!
On a bad note: There was a sexual assault in the forum campground on Sat. night. Seems these girls invited these guys to party with them. Guys left. Girls went to bed. Guys came back and climbed in tents. One ended up arrested and the police were taking photos. Don't know how far it went. Scary stuff that.
Back to the good: my daughter was absolutely transfixed during Taylor Swift. Loved it.
Had a fabulous time and can't wait to do it again!

Geez, seems like everyone was having dog troubles. I got a text message to call my room mate ASAP. So I called and they were at the vet. My roomie had my 2 poms on my bed and my 4 month old fell and broke her leg!! I got home yesterday and picked her up from a co-worker and had to drop her off in Malibu because she is having surgery today to repair her leg with a plate. Totally changed the mood for the weekend.

Not to add to the downers, but that girl was raped by a Marine that was there working security. It's sad that all it takes is one act like that to put a damper on a great weekend.

I don't think she mentioned it to put that girls "business" all out there - but more as a "wow - this is what happend" and to kinda warn some of us to be careful? At least that's how I took it anyway...
It's sad that it took something that wrong to get security heightened in the camping area - they weren't even checking wristbands until that happened. Maybe they'll be a little more careful who they let in and out of the campground next time. (Although if it was a security guy working the event...) Just scary. :(
I thought it was really strange that we just walked into the tent area to cross over to PBR without any questions, wrist bands or showing our tickets to anybody. Heck we even stopped at the Bloody Mary Bar and had one (they were good). Now that I think about it we didn't have to show anything to get into PBR either.
I figured somebody would say hi to me at PBR, I did wear a name tag with the name Rose on it?

Thats exactly how I meant it. I don't believe in spreading other people's business, but this was a serious matter that finally caused people to start thinking through the haze of Stagecoach-itis and realize that you can have a good time, just remember to keep your head about you. Its a terrible thing that happend, I'm just glad they got the guy!
And I'm glad nothing happend to anyone on here. I feel like we're all family and I would've been crushed if anything happend to any of you.
