We're planning on taking a taxi from Desert Palms to the festival. Do you think we'll be able to catch a taxi to and from the festival? We're from Arizona so I"m not sure how everything works out there. :D Sorry I'm a newbie!

Perhaps the motel/hotel you are staying at could drop off/pick up at Stagecoach? Just a thought!

getting a ride back is the problem, many taxi's don't even want to deal with the traffic.

I check the hotel we're staying at and they don't offer shuttles.

most hotels are miles upon miles away from the festvial...after walking all day in the hot sun the last thing you want to do is walk down a dusty road at 12am.

by the time you hike back to your car you could have walked the 3 miles back to your hotel room. Plus the time it takes to get your car outta there is a good 1/2 hour or so. I can walk 3 miles in about 45 minutes, I typically walk 25 miles a week.

I'm glad you're so athletic, but my hotel is 12 miles from the festival. I don't think I'm going to be up to walking to and from the festival or getting a dui by driving myself.

hitch hike. I'm sure somebody will give you a safe ride back to your hotel. Lots of nice folks that are more than willing to lend a helping hand.

Heck, I was going to rent a room for Saturday night so I'm not driving back and forth this weekend but the room rates are outrageous because of Stagecoach...the Super 8 with horrible reviews was getting $209 per night....hells bells

Hello,

Myself and my wife are also staying in a hotel in Rancho Mirage.

Carpooling may not be a bad idea, drop me an e-mail and let me know if your offer may still be available.

You should check into prices beforehand. Rumor all over these boards is that a cab will cost you MEGA bucks. Call and see if the resort your staying at offer a "free" shuttle.
