Hi All
Does anyone know if a folding canvas chair can have a top sunscreen cover?
It is going to be hot as hades these and these chairs give some shade from the sun.

I didn't see any last year and I'm going to assume that it falls under the umbrella rule??? This is just a guess though.
Can I bring an umbrella to block the sun?
Sorry no, those block the view of other festival goers.

I don't think a chair could be considered a umbrella.
Last year we saw plenty of chairs like this. Thats why we bought some.

Where?? I didn't see a single chair last year that had the little canopy on it?? Blocks peoples' view.....don't even think of sitting in front of me, that's for sure!! I would for sure bring a back up incase they don't let those in...

Its not the chair that is considered an umbrella, its the umbrella attached to the chair that is considered an umbrella...

No tops allowed, no lounge type chairs either, click on the rules/FAQ section, they have pics of chairs allowed and those that are not.
They say there will be shaded areas, but you cant even bring in a mister pack, that is not right. You have to buy their mister fans and bottled water.

If you buy a mister there how do they know on sat. that you bought it there?

Last year, I saw people bring in hammocks, lounge chairs, etc! I was miffed but I suppose the security didn't inspect every item...they don't have time!

when i was watching coachella this past weekend (websight) I saw someone with a hat just like you are describing.

Well ya know rules are made for everyone - LOL - tell ya you can't bring in umbrellas and thennnnnnnnnn they sell them - you can not see past someone if they have an umbrella or an "umbrella" chair - come on be a little respectiful of others, too - we would all like to be able to see the shows (the screens) - which, of course, is another matter -why don't they put the large screens above the stagecoach banners - then we could see and the umbrellas would be great for lots.......................but to say you cannot use these items and then sell them there is not right - and not fair to others. However,,,,,,,,,,,,,other then Shelby Lynne - grow up girl ..you aren't good enough for people to fill the stands - and her mouth!!!!!! the festival was absolutely awesome!!! PS George Jones or Dwight Yoakum would have been better in Shelby's spot LOL

Amen sister, Dwight needed to be on the Mane stage. That tent was packed and he ROCKED the house. George was good where he was. The old timers need to stay over there, unless they are currently playing hits on the radio. Ok I know Dwight is not but damn he is good.
Good times again this year!

Dwight was awesome for sure - too bad there were some little bimbettes there that thought it was ok to push others out of their way - hope the bimbette I kicked has a bruise !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL - sorry I was ticked hahahaha:D

Seriously though - if they'd move the viewing screens up to the top and the banners either beside or under them - the umbrella and the umbrella type chairs would be great for folks..........oh did anyone see the couple who brought in a whole tent?????????? where was security on that one???? and they didn't even have little kids - duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! hahahahahaah:p

It was hysterical...
But those young kids really needed shade..
Maybe next year like the drive-inn's they should have a kid friendly seating area..
I was worried for the little ones next to the hohoh girls and drunk guys...
That was not kid friendly to watch...
By the way my hats off to all you bathing boot wearing beauties..
Someones gotta tell ya that just cuz ya think it looks good IMHO not so much...
Unless ya work out or had a good plastic surgeon to do lipo stop the insanity and stay clothed..
The rest of us know were not looking it and want to enjoy are dinner without spitting up are drink from laughing so hard...

Yep it was hot friday and sat but wow I didn't see any swimming holes......and now back to the original questions - againnnnnnnnnn it said noooooooo umbrellas - chairs with top sunscreens would constitute umbrellassssssssssssssssssssssss!!!
I'm gettin bad in my old age LOL
